when mutual friends set them up as homecoming dates during their senior year. Neither of them remembers saying much — they were both too awkward to talk. But just six months later, they were talking every single day.

They both went on to attend Texas Tech, where their friendship turned into something deeper. During those years, they built the foundation of their relationship, learned a lot about life (and each other), and made some of their closest friends in Lubbock.

After college, career opportunities brought them to Austin. Charlie started his career in tech sales, while Taylor started her own business helping small business owners with design & marketing.

They now share two cats, with plans to adopt dogs someday… and maybe even fill their home with MANY more animals in the future.

After seven years together, Charlie decided it was time. He had a whole plan: recreate their first high school date with dinner at Qi, a walk by the river, and ice cream to end the night. The only hiccup? Taylor wanted to head home to finish an episode of Severance. So, he pivoted and the next day, he proposed at one of their favorite spots in the city: the Austin Botanical Gardens.

These days, you can find them soaking up the sunshine at Zilker, hanging out with friends on the east side, or relaxing by the pool. Austin has become their home, and they’re so excited to start this next chapter, together.
